Writing a ‘Last Letter’ When You’re Healthy

The Stanford Friends and Family Letter Project encourages people to express their thoughts and feelings to their loved ones. The project provides free templates for people at various stages of life and health.

“Once the letter is written, you can choose to share it with your loved ones right away. You can also store it in a safe place or with a trusted person to be given to your family in the future. Some people prefer to use the letter as a living legacy document and update it over time. It may take tremendous courage to write a life review letter… Yet it may be the most important letter you will ever write.”
